About Us

Rebuilding Democracy is a nonprofit consultancy which offers consulting, training, leadership development, technical and new-media assistance to Democratic and progressive organizations so they can develop and use a strong grassroots organizing capacity.

As we now realize, having won the Presidency, both Houses of Congress and the trifeca in Washington State doesn't always mean getting the legislation we want.  The national, state and local Democratic and Democratic-leaning organizations now get to figure out how to hold their feet to the fire and urge them to take the steps necessary to pull us out of this slump in a manner that moves us forward on the American values we hold dear - a good education system for all, a planet that we are not destroying, and a willingness to hold out a hand to those folks who are having trouble.

Time for us to get even more people involved and to really learn how to make our influence felt.  Huge numbers of people attended the Democratic caucuses and/or volunteered for Obama and other Democrats up and down the ticket.  How to we hold those folks in and get really smart about how we organize.

Rebuilding Democracy has the skills, the plan and the relationships to assist in a big way.  Now we need the volunteers and the funding to make it happen.

RebuildingDemocracy.com is a website that offers tools and information to enable people to build their organizations and build community and influence our legislative process. And, then, to help elect more and better Democrats.
